There are lots of reasons to need to find out about someone’s criminal background. I know that employers check your criminal past before proceeding with any kind of hiring, they need all of your information on the application.  But it surprises me what some people will use a free criminal records search for.  It also surprises me exactly who uses them.  I’ve found out that my best friend has used them before as well as my mother.  They weren’t using them for anything serious, just to check on people they’d just met, but it is such a strange concept to me.
