We Forget How Impressionable They Are

Sometimes as adults, we forget how impressionable our young children are. So we sit them down in front of the television without even thinking about what they are watching. At least, I know I’ve done that more times than I would like to admit. I get busy, and the TV keeps my toddler occupied so that he is not under my feet. Well, the other day I decided to sit down and watch with him. I was horrified at the portrayal of Race in the Media that I saw. We live in a small town, and my son doesn’t know anyone who is not of our race. Since TV is his only experience with other races, I would like the portrayal to be more balanced and realistic.
