I think it’s only natural I ended up doing this job. Observing people, breaking them down, to an extent judging them and in the very end, manipulating them: (actors on the screen and people in the audience) for a desired result. I always feel guilty working with actors though, especially since I’m a relative beginner at AceKard 2 directing and most of the people I’ve worked with thus far are also pretty un-seasoned. What I mean is, unless I’m working with let’s say Sean Penn or Ralph Fiennes, I am casting people who are at least 70% of the character I have in mind. Which means, in plain terms,
Picking up spares is one of the best things you can do to raise your bowling average. I work at the big box store up town in the city I live in, I have worked there for over five years now. One of the things I enjoy about working there is putting together new appliances and stuff like grills and stuff. It is very enjoyable to me and I would rather do that than to have to deal with customers. One time while I was on floor duty some know it all type of guy came up to me and asked about the power washer that was on the shelf in the power washer isle. I told him he was better off to hire a professional to clean his house because he said it was a big two story home. Well of coarse that offended him and he got all upset with me but I told him my son used a power washer on his house and got marks all over the siding from using too much pressure. Plus this guy was just going to hurt himself trying to climb on a ladder and pull the trigger of a power washer. That is way too dangerous for any homeowner to do on his own. I told him to hire a professional power washer but he just ran off and told the manager on me, which is why I am not on floor duty anymore.
It’s probably old news – so many sexual harassment cases happen in the train during the commute. This issue is just not being focused on because there are “bigger” crimes that the authorities have to deal with. But this issue is big! This form of insult causes trauma, among other things, to women. A friend of a friend was harassed during a commute to work. This guy just started touching her in appropriate places and tried to make it seem like an accident, what with a crowded train. When the guy stepped out of the train, she followed him and found where he worked. She immediately contacted solicitors in Bristol for this problem. The guy is now facing charges on sexual harassment.
My brother got married last month, and I had the honor of being his best man. I knew that I would have to stand up and give a speech at the reception, and since I am not very good at expressing my feelings, I started looking for a sample best man speech to get me started.
