Purchasing an Extended Warranty for Your HDTV Projection TV
Depending on the manufacturer and model of the hdtv projection tv that you are buying, an extended warranty may be available. Typically, this will be offered for a fee during the initial purchase process. While you are in the process of choosing a TV, it would be helpful to ask if extended warranties are available, as well as what they will cover. As may be expected, it may be worthwhile to spend a few extra dollars on a unit that is guaranteed for a longer period of time. Without a question, if a manufacturer has a low confidence level in the long term functionality of their product, you should also be wary of purchasing it.
