Choosing a Forklift
If you are not familiar with basic types of forklifts choosing a forklift for a specialized application can be difficult. Listed below are some of the most common forklift subcategories.
There are two basic types of forklifts to choose from:
Electric Forklifts — For indoor use and the lowest total operating costs, electric forklifts are the best choice for heavy lifting.
Internal Combustion (IC) Forklifts — These forklifts are great for outdoor use and can be easily refuelled.
For certain specialised jobs, you may want to look into one of the following specialized forklifts:
Narrow Aisle Forklifts — When space is a factor, narrow aisle forklifts are perfect to work in spaces as small as 6' wide.
Rough Terrain Forklifts — Are great outdoors over uneven ground. Rough terrain forklifts provide the power to get the job done.
