Benefits of a Jury Trial
In a jury trial, the jury is responsible for determining the innocence or guilt of the defendant based on their interpretation of the facts. In a jury trial, the judge is responsible for answering questions pertaining to the law that the jury may have but in a bench trial the judge has nothing to do with rendering a verdict. Bench trials and jury trials follow similar guidelines but in many cases bench trials are not as formal as jury trials. In bench trials the judge may permit provisional evidence that would not be allowed in a jury trial for fear that it may mislead the jury. Whether you win the case or not you still have to pay all necessary lawyers fees.
