I am here to tell you that you should be very careful that you following the procedures or steps for getting a patent very carefully. I was foolish and did just the opposite. My careless attitude caused me to be unable to file my patent within a reasonable amount of time and be caught up in a lot of red tape. The best advice I can give you is to hire a patent lawyer. Make sure he or she has dealt with filing patents before. This will make your experience so much easier if you have an expert helping you.
