paralegal definition

The layperson’s paralegal definition could be described as someone who assists a lawyer and performs many of the same tasks as a lawyer but is restricted in the sense that she does not have the authority to give legal advice or present cases in court. It is ultimately the lawyer who takes responsibility for the legal work for any particular client but due to time restraints she will rely on her paralegal assistant to perform many of the tasks that are more administrative in nature and don’t require directly interfacing with the client.

Researching Nursing Home Abuse

It’s time I got to work learning about Nursing Home Abuse.
My grandmother had a nightmare experience at the first home we placed her in. It was horrifying.
I never thought I’d have to deal with Elder Care Abuse in my lifetime, but you never know what life will throw at you.
We have her at a much better place, now, of course. We’re being much more vigilant now, just the same.
Ok – that’s it for today.

Memory Recline

Again, genius ideas come from necessity. I am sure that one day one frustrated mother could not get the seat to recline just the way the baby liked it and for the rest of that day the mother had to endure a cranky child. I am sure that is how the Cortina Stroller came about with its ingenious idea to have a memory recline seat in their stroller. No longer do you have to tug and pull to make sure the seat is exactly where your picky rider likes to have their seat. It is an easy function that takes so away so much guess work and fidgeting.

Are Any Actuarial Schools Better Than The Others?

I am trying to decide between the many schools that offer actuarial science degrees, and it is a really hard decision. I am just not sure what to look for. I want to go to the best possible school so I will have a good chance of getting my choice of actuarial summer internships after graduation. Is there some type of certification I should look for, or is there a ranking list of these schools somewhere? That would really help me with my decision. I would love it if I could find a program that prepared me for some of the exams, but I am not sure which schools do this.

Doing Research On Nursing Home Neglect

It’s time I got to work learning about Nursing Home Neglect.
My grandmother had the most awful experience at the first nursing home she was at after getting diagnosed for Alzheimers.
I never imagined I’d end up having to deal with issues of Elder Care Abuse and Neglect in my lifetime. It’s been a terrible experience for my whole family.
We’ve moved her to a more reputable place, now, thank goodness. We’re still watching over her much more closely, though.
I’ll keep you posted.

Can Online Cooking Classes Be Helpful?

Although online classes have popped up for a variety of different interests, there are some topics that have taken longer to really translate to the internet format. For example, online cooking classes are just now starting to become more prevalent than before. Many wonder what the good of an online cooking class can be, but for casual cooks who just want to improve their cooking, they can be wonderful. They are not as useful for, say, a chef that is training for a career, but these types of classes are great ways for amateurs like the rest of us to brush up on our skills.
