Stock Quotes Are A Traders Best Friend
I used to get up in the morning at 7am, go downstairs for my breakfast and I’d be back up ready to trade by 7:15am. One of the first things I looked at was my monitor with its basket of stocks showing stock quotes online in real time. Often the prices would be all over the place before the market opened but it was fun to watch the indicative prices before the bell rung and the real time stock trading at open could be seen. The spreads were usually very defensive until the marketmakers were in full swing.
