A few years ago, when a woman gave birth her cord blood was just discarded. Because of companies like Cryocell, cord blood is saved. Now it has become the perfect research tool. Cryocell Cord Blood is used because the stem cells are the perfect thing as a treatment for some cancers. They get stored in a cord blood bank and are used when needed. This cord blood can be stored for the owner or donated for anyone to use. They can also be donated for research purposes. Either way, the idea that we can get the stem cells from cord blood to cure cancer is just an amazing one.
