Creativity and Bipolar Disorder
There are many studies that have suggested a connection between creativity and bipolar disorder. Throughout history there are a great number of creative geniuses that had bipolar disorder. Many authors have described extreme mania when they have felt elation in regards to a higher accomplishment, and the setting of goals and accomplishing them. Bipolar disorder will affect each person differently, but one thing in common with almost all sufferers is that when they are going through a manic phase, they are more inclined to be outgoing and very daring in their daily activities, but while going through a depressed cycle, they have no energy, they damage relationships, and perform poorly in school or on the job.
