Medication For Migraines: Too Many Preventives Available
Most migraine sufferers resort to several preventive medicines to prevent headaches that leave them in frenzy. Talking of these preventive medications, there is an ample number of these medicines available in the market. However a funny thing about this preventive medication for migraines is that they were not initially meant for treating migraine. FDA has not even approved most of these to treat migraine. There are only four main medicines that have been approved to treat migraine namely propranolol, timolol, divalproex, and topiramate. Even though these preventives were not really meant to squash migraine they have been quite effective in preventing the problem, as experienced by many patients.
