Paying the Cost

It should be noted that part of what happens when you quit smoking is withdrawal – which is determined in part by the amount of nicotine you’ve consumed over time and just how long you have engaged in smoking.  The withdrawal periods that happen to pretty much all smokers tends to occur with symptoms that can be anything, be it crankiness, or be it fatigue.  Your withdrawal could include intense urges to use tobacco products, and/or to eat large amounts of sweets.  Patches, gum, and things such as those can help curb symptoms of withdrawal in most people.  Withdrawal isn’t great – but it’s worth it.
