Radiant Heating Concrete Floors - How It Can Be Done

If you want radiant heating concrete floor, there is a way you can do it directly on the concrete subfloor. In this case, tubing will be attached to the concrete subfloor. Over that tubing a thin layer of gypsum cement is poured. The great thing about doing it like this is that gypsum cement will not shrink or crack like regular concrete does.

Additionally, it is lighter than concrete. The only drawback is that it will raise the elevation in the room 2 inches or so. In some cases, this is not desirable.
