For the most part, you can achieve the same results with monorail track lighting.  Similar to flexible track lighting, the frame can be bent to suit your needs.  Because flexible track lighting takes more current, it is safer to use.  You will also save money by using a low voltage system.    In addition, while flexible track lighting offers a great deal more illumination, you may not need it for ordinary household purposes.
